New Semiquadratic High Step-Up DC/DC Converter for Renewable Energy Applications

In this article, a new semiquadratic high step-up coupled-inductor dc/dc converter (SQHSUCI) with continuous input current and low voltage stress on semiconductor components is presented. The proposed structure employs (CI) two power switches simultaneous operation to achieve an extremely conversion ratio in form. across the main switch clamped by regenerative clamp capacitors. Here, switching losses of both MOSFET s have been reduced applying quasi-resonance circuit created leakage inductance CI along balancing Therefore, considering gain components, magnetic semiconductors SQHSUCI are significantly. Also, energy stored recycled output capacitor. These features make more suitable for industrial applications. principle, steady state, also comparisons other related converters conduction mode (CCM) discussed detail. Finally, experimental results prototype 20 V 200 W–200 at 50 kHz frequency, verify theoretical advantages strategy.
